Synopsis: It has been at least a year since Team Dark had been sent by GUN to act as a support team for the Acorn Council during the invasion of the Black Arms, and during that time Shadow and Sally have developed a strong connection. One day, Shadow had been called back to headquarters to be placed under active watch due to the public's mistrust of him because of his heritage (him being created from Black Doom's DNA). At first, Shadow rejects to this, but with some convincing from his friends, the ultimate lifeform reluctantly agrees so. As he is being sent away, Sally catches up to him and attempts to persuade him from going so, but her plead falls on deaf ears. Shadow, before his departure, orders her not to say anything about her, fearing that the public will fear her because his blood flows through her veins as well (when he gave his blood to save her). Afterwards, the black hedgehog gives the tearful chipmunk small kiss as a show of respect for being such a good friend to him throughout the year they spent with each other (in actuality, it was merely a cover-up; Shadow, who was unable to admit his true feelings to the princess).
